Jennifer Lopez, the multi-talented superstar, actress and singer, who hails from New York City’s Castle Hill section of the Bronx, has busted onto the scene in a manner that has left a lot of folks speechless. Almost as well known for her fashion sense and her relationship with Combs as she is for all of her accomplishments, Lopez was presented with the 2000 Versace Award at this year’s VH1 Vogue Fashion Awards. The award was “given to the person who best continues to represent the energy, creativity, and daring” that the late designer represented. With a new album and movie due out in the New Year, we can expect that Lopez is well underway to an outstanding career.

Rumours from the tinsel town suggest that something is indeed brewing between actor Vivek Oberoi and Sushma Reddy .
Of late, Vivek and Sushma have been spotted together on many occasions. The last one was perhaps a few days back at the screening of Vivek’s latest movie Naksha at Cinemax in Andheri.
Just a day before this screening, Vivek had celebrated his birthday at a low-key gathering with his ‘Naksha’ co-star Sameera Reddy (Sushma’s younger sister) and the film’s crew. Although Sushma was invited to this party, she couldn’t make it for some reason.
So, according to the reports, Vivek personally talked to Sushma on the phone and invited her to the screening of ‘Naksha’ the next day, where he had also invited some little children.
Because she shares many “common interests” with Vivek, Sushma made it to Cinemax Andheri the next day.
Moreover, Sushma’s sister Sameera is being seen as the matchmaker between the two. Vivek and Sameera have already become good friends since working together in ‘Naksha’.

Its about that time for another update on Britney Spears. She seems to have finally settled into the Promises complex, shattering her previous record of one day.
Over the weekend, Britney’s ex-husband, Kevin Federline, and their two children dropped by to offer their support.
This is the the second time that K-Fed has visited Britney within the past two days… he also checked in on the pop princess on Friday.
According to a SAWF source, Federline brought sons Sean Preston, 17 months and Jayden James, 7 months, to visit their mother on Saturday evening.
“The kids are his number one priority and they always have been,” a source told SAWF news. “He’s so stressed out right now. He only wants the best for Britney and the kids.”
As far as Britney’s new quarters are concerned, the place is described as more of a luxury resort than a rehab center.
The price tag is $48,000 for 30 days to enter the program. Obviously enough, the only people who can really afford a rehabilitation center like Promises are celebrities and executives. Some of the past alumni of the center include Ben Affleck, Charlie Sheen, Dianna Ross, and Matthew Perry.
Now Britney joins the ranks of these other past Promises alum, that is, if she sticks it out.

LOS ANGELES: The limousines have been charged up, the hairdressers and stylists have worked their magic and the stars are ready to stroll down the red carpet in dresses that have been begged, borrowed or — perish the thought — bought. And, of course, the champagne is on ice and the trendy parties booked.
Hollywood was ready for its big night on Sunday — the Oscars. And this year there are a couple of notes of suspense in proceedings that have become been cut and dried and downright boring over the years. The experts agree that no one knows who is going to win best film, adding some tension in the rarefied Oscar air.
Will it be that cute homage to dysfunctional family life, Little Miss Sunshine, or that depressing tale of pain and suffering around the world, Babel? Does The Queen stand a chance, or will Clint Eastwood walk off with the big award for his Japanese language masterpiece Letters From Iwo Jima? Might the Oscar go to Martin Scorsese’s The Departed, a cops and gangsters film that could triumph if votes split between Sunshine and Babel.
Only Helen Mirren is regarded as a shoo-in for best actress for her regal work as Queen Elizabeth II in The Queen. In the days leading up to the Oscars, some heavyweight critics have thrown their support to Sunshine, while some Oscar voters have turned their noses up at the movie, saying it is too lowbrow to merit an Oscar.
Scorsese is expected to win the best director for Departed, and if so, it would be his first Oscar for an individual film after seven previous nominations. The sentiment around town is that it is “Marty’s turn”.
Although most stars have multiple designer gowns from which to choose. Mirren has said she will be wearing Christian LaCroix on the big night. Many have speculated that Giorgio Armani will dress best supporting actress nominee Cate Blanche.
LA Weekly Hollywood columnist Nikki Finke said viewers should expect at least one major change: all the acting awards may be given in the last third of the show instead of a couple at the start.
